Paytm launches subscription clarity tool for UPI automatic payments

Paytm has launched a new feature that allows users to add labels to their UPI automatic payments, making it easier to identify and manage recurring subscriptions. The move addresses a growing challenge as subscription-based services expand, with multiple payments often bundled under a single merchant name.Currently, payments processed through aggregators like app stores often appear under one merchant name — for example, Google Playstore — even if they include different services such as YouTube Premium, Google One, or ChatGPT. This makes it difficult for users to recall why a particular deduction was made.With the new feature, Paytm users can now add custom labels to each automatic payment, clearly identifying the purpose of each subscription.

This reduces the risk of accidentally canceling the wrong recurring payment and improves overall visibility.
