‘Peddi’: Is Mrunal Thakur playing cameo in Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer sports drama? Here’s what we know

Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer sports drama film ‘Peddi’ directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is set to arrive in theatres next month. If the latest reports are to be believed, the film is set to feature ‘Dacoit’ star Mrunal Thakur making a special appearance in a single.

Mrunal Thakur in ‘Peddi’?

As per a report by Gulte, Mrunal Thakur may appear in ‘Peddi’, where she is expected to feature in a dance number. The reports further suggest that she will be seen puting her dancing shoes with Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor. However, it is imperative to mention that no confirmation has been made yet. The makers have not said anything official.

About ‘Peddi’

Speaking about the film, it is a sports drama film, which is expected to be largely based on a village-based cricket tournament.

The makers have already released two singles, ‘Chikri Chikri’ and ‘Rai Rai Raa Raa’, from the film and recent buzz on the internet suggests that a new teaser by the name “Kushti” from the film might be released on March 27, on the birthday of Ram Charan, which was earlier the release date of the film.Apart from the reports suggesting the ‘Sita Ramam’ star’s involvement in the film, the movie has a star studded lined up, including Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar, ‘Mirzapur’ fame Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani and others.

The tunes are composed by musical genius AR Rahman.

Ram Charan and Mrunal Thakur’s work front

After ‘Peddi’ Ram Charan, will be working with the ‘Pushpa’ director Sukumar on their next project, tentatively named ‘RC17’, which reunites them after their successful outing ‘Rangasthalam’. Meanwhile, Mrunal Thakur is promoting her upcoming movie ‘Dacoit’ opposite Adivi Sesh, which is set to release on April 10. She will also be seen in Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde starrer, ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ directed by David Dhawan.
