The digital streaming rights of the film have been acquired by Netflix as reported by OTT Play website. The platform recently confirmed that the film will begin streaming on March 13.Apart from the original Malayalam version, the film will also stream in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada.

A satirical story set in a village

The story of 'Pennum Porattum' happens in a village that initially appears calm and peaceful. However the narrative slowly reveals darker layers beneath this surface.

The plot revolves around a dog and a strong woman named Charulatha who challenge the restrictions imposed by the villagers and their actions slowly begin to expose the cruelty and hypocrisy that are hidden within the community.Director Rajesh Madhavan uses satire and symbolism to highlight these themes and when it hit the big screens, the film had received good reviews, even though there were not much bigger box office numbers.

Strong cast and unique elements

Actor - director Rajesh Madhavan has brought together an interesting ensemble including Raina Radhakrishnan and Dinesh Prabhakar in important roles. One of the unique elements of the film is the presence of a Dalmatian dog that plays a key role in the story. Interestingly, popular Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas has lent his voice to the dog character.
