In the Twisha Sharma death case, a purported audio conversation involving retired judge Giri Bala Singh and Twisha’s brother Major Harshit Sharma has now surfaced online, adding more twists to the case.
According to The Times Of India, in the audio conversation, Giri Bala Singh is defending herself for questioning Twisha about her personal life, her conduct and her past relationships.
‘People Sell Bodies To Climb Social Ladder’
In the audio, the retired judge can be heard saying “promiscuity can be a habit" as she justifies making inquiries into the past life of Twisha and questioning her if she had “been with other men."
The retired judge is heard claiming that she had worked in Reshampura in Gwalior and had also “worked with prostitutes". She added that “some people sell their bodies and then they climb the social ladder", as reported by The Times Of India.
According to the audio, Twisha had complained to her family that he husband Samarth Singh allegedly abused her and called her a “prostitute".
The audio recording also hinted at internal suspicions within the family regarding Twisha’s past and her relationships prior to marriage.
In the audio, the retired judge is allegedly heard saying Twisha had admitted to “being with other people also" before marriage.
‘How Can You Ask Her If She Will Go Out With Other Men?’
According to the Times Of India, Major Harshit Sharma at one point confronted Giri Bala Singh over the kind of questions she has asked Twisha, adding that it is humiliating and emotionally damaging.
“How is this logical to ask your own bahu (daughter-in-law)?" Sharma was heard asking, expressing shock over how mother-in-law can question character and loyalty of Twisha in marriage.

Responding to him, Giri Bala Singh allegedly said, “This is my right to ask my daughter-in-law," further adding that “any promiscuous behaviour after marriage will not be tolerated".
Bhopal Police Announce Rs 30,000 Reward On Twisha’s Husband
Meanwhile, the Bhopal Police has announced a reward of Rs 30,000 for information leading to the arrest of Twisha Sharma’s husband, Samarth Singh, the main accused in the alleged dowry death case who remains absconding.
According to reports, a proclamation issued by Sanjay Kumar said Samarth Singh has been charged under Sections 80(2), 85 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, besides Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The case has been registered at Katara Hills Police Station.
Twisha Sharma, a 33-year-old model and actress, had met Samarth Singh through a dating app in 2024. The couple had got married in December 2025. On May 12, Twisha was found hanging at her marital home in Katara Hills, Bhopal.
The woman’s family accused her husband and in-laws of dowry harassment, physical and mental abuse, and use of influence to weaken the investigation.
