People will soon realise ‘historic blunder’ of choosing TVK: TTV

Pudukottai: The people of Tamil Nadu had committed a ‘historic blunder’ by choosing TVK as an alternative and would soon realise it, AMMK founder T T V Dhinakaran said on Sunday. He also said that the 25 AIADMK MLAs who supported the TVK govt during the confidence motion have been ‘left abandoned.

’Dhinakaran told reporters in Pudukottai that the TVK govt has turned out to be a ‘major danger’ for the state. “Govts can seek time to implement welfare promises, but they cannot ask for time to improve law and order,” he said. He alleged that TVK had poached legislators from opposition parties. Referring to former AMMK MLA Kamaraj extending support to the govt, Dhinakaran said TVK had ‘stolen’ an MLA from his party without his consent.He questioned the legality of the Speaker accepting resignations of four AIADMK MLAs . “When the time is right, all this will be challenged in court,” he said.The AMMK leader dismissed TVK’s claim of being a clean force, saying the party was surviving on image-building rather than governance. “Reels cannot run a govt,” he said. Dhinakaran said the chief minister had come to power with the support of DMK alliance parties and had yet to prove his govt’s administrative capabilities. On BJP’s former state president K Annamalai beginning a new movement, he said it was sad that he resigned from BJP.
