Bhuvanagiri Member of Parliament Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy said the crucial evidence related to phone tapping, including tapes and case details were stored in the forensic laboratory that saw a fire accident, and suspected BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao’s hand behind the fire accident.
He alleged that the BRS and its henchmen were known for such acts and reminded how some officers of the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) had switched off the CCTV and damaged all the phone-tapping evidence, including throwing the hard disks in the Musi river, soon after the BRS lost the Assembly elections in 2023. All the gadgets, including the equipment imported from Israel were also destroyed.

Mr. Reddy made these allegations in response to Mr KTR’s allegations that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy might be involved in the fire accident, as the files related to the ‘cash for vote’ case were stored in the FSL, since the CM was the main accused in the case.
“If there is any conspiracy behind the forensic lab fire, it will be from KTR’s side,” the MP asserted, adding that KTR’s family would have to face investigation in the phone tapping case.

The MP alleged that Mr KTR was indulging in “cheap propaganda” under the assumption that spreading venom against Mr Revanth Reddy would fetch votes. He claimed that Mr KTR made the allegations against the CM in advance to divert attention. He alleged that BRS leaders were holding multiple press meets and engaging in social media campaigns throughout the day to defame the CM.
He also criticised the transformation of TRS into BRS, alleging that Telangana’s self-respect was compromised in the process. “How can KTR and his family seek votes on Telangana sentiment,” he asked.
