Pimpri driver booked on charge of wife’s murder

Pune: The Pimpri police, on Sunday, registered a case against a 45-year-old driver on the charge of throttling his wife (35) to death. The murder occurred on Sunday afternoon at Vidyanagar in Chinchwad.An officer from the Pimpri police said the accused, who works as a cab driver, suspected his wife of infidelity. They often quarrelled over this issue. On Sunday, the couple again entered into a brawl over the same issue.The accused throttled his wife to death and fled. “Their daughter informed the police and lodged a complaint,” the officer said.
