Sanand: After Micron, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Kaynes Semicon’s plant, which is the second semiconductor plant operation Gujarat within a month on Tuesday.
PM Modi is on his second visit to Gujarat in a month. He inaugurated the ‘Samrat Samprati Museum’ on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti at Koba, Gandhinagaron Tuesday.
On this occasion, Modi sought the blessings of the national saint Pujya Acharya Padmasagar Surishwarji. The event was attended by dignitaries from across the country including Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi and Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra President Sudhir Mehta (owner of Torrent Group). After that, he left for Sanand.
PM Modi inaugurated Kaynes Semicon’s Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly Test (OSAT) plant in Sanand. After that, the Centre and the Gujarat government will jointly inaugurate development works worth a total of Rs 19,806.9 crore from Vav-Tharad. PM Modi will inaugurate the 109 km long ‘Ahmedabad-Dholera Greenfield Expressway’ (NE-8), built at a cost of more than Rs 5100 crore. Due to this highway, the distance from Ahmedabad to Dholera can be covered in just 45 minutes and the distance from Bhavnagar in 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Keynes Semicon’s plant will produce 60 lakh chips daily. While Micron will start producing 10 lakh chips daily by 2027. Thus, around 70 lakh semiconductors will be manufactured daily in Gujarat. It is worth mentioning that a total of 4 plants have been approved in Gujarat. Out of which three are in Sanand and one in Dholera. Thus, CG Power in Sanand and Tata-PSMC plant in Dholera are yet to be operational.
During the inauguration of the ‘Samrat Samprati Museum’, PM Modi said at the end of his address, “Mahavir Jayanti is auspicious for me today. As soon as I set foot on the land of Gujarat, the first program was Jad se Judna and now I am going to Sanand, where there is Jagat se judna. Here we have come with great cultural tradition and in Sanand, the most modern technology in the world, i.e. semiconductor, is being inaugurated. Jai Jinendra… Jai Jinendra…”
National saint Pujya Acharya Padmasagarsurishwarji said that despite his busy schedule, Prime Minister has increased our happiness by giving time. The country is fortunate that it has a beautiful Prime Minister who is of character, sincere and goal-oriented. He has done and will do a lot for the upliftment of the people. His life and simplicity are understandable. He is half a monk and half a householder. It happened after many years.
The Prime Minister is the one who gives the message of peace in wartime and helps people understand. Today, times have changed so much that the whole world is watching us. Where were we and where have we reached? I give the credit for this development to the Prime Minister. He has found a place in the hearts of the people. I wish him well and bless him.
