PM Modi Set To Interact With MPs, MLAs In Assam; To Open New Airport Terminal In Guwahati

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the new terminal building of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, built at a cost of Rs 4,000 crore, on December 20.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to interact with MPs and MLAs of poll-bound Assam at the party headquarters in Guwahati on December 20. According to sources, a 25-minute interaction is lined up with the legislators and the Prime Minister.

Notably, this will be PM Modi’s first visit to the newly constructed party office in Assam. The visit is speculated to be a very crucial visit ahead of next year’s elections.

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the new terminal building of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, built at a cost of Rs 4,000 crore, on December 20. 

The PM is also scheduled to address a public meeting near the airport, where arrangements being made. After the rally, PM Modi will go to the state BJP headquarters to interact with leaders and party workers from across Assam, where elections will be due in a few months.

The next day on December 21, PM Modi will visit the river terminal on the Brahmaputra in Guwahati, from where he will board the Charaideo vessel and participate in the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha‘ programme with around 25-30 students.

The Prime Minister will also pay homage to the 855 martyrs of the Assam Movement at Swahid Smarak in Boragaon.

Later the same day, he will travel to Dibrugarh to lay the foundation stone of the Namrup-IV Ammonia-Urea project.
