Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Republic Day parade highlighted the growing strength, professionalism, and preparedness of India’s security forces.

The Republic Day celebrations showcased a remarkable mix of the 150-year heritage of the national song Vande Mataram, India’s unmatched development journey, strong military capabilities, rich cultural diversity, and the enthusiastic participation of people from all sections of society.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the Republic Day parade reflected the growing strength and preparedness of India’s security forces.

In a post on social media, the Prime Minister said the parade offered a clear view of the country’s enhanced defence capabilities and the professionalism of the armed forces. He described the forces as a source of national pride.

The Prime Minister also shared several photographs from the parade, showing marching contingents, mounted units, and personnel from different wings of the armed forces. The images highlighted discipline, coordination, and the diversity of India’s security setup.

As the Republic Day parade got underway in the national capital, spectators witnessed a stunning aerial display known as the ‘Dhwaj Formation’. Four Mi-17 1V helicopters from the 129 Helicopter Unit flew overhead in a sharp inverted ‘Y’ formation, carrying the National Flag along with the service flags of the Indian Army, Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force.
