Bandi Sai Bageerath, the son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has been granted four-day interim bail in the POCSO case to appear for his BBA examinations on Saturday (June 20, 2026).
Senior officials of the Cyberabad Police confirmed that the interim bail had been granted by the court and that Bageerath would be taken back into custody on June 25 after the completion of his examinations. “He will be appearing for three exams and will be back in the prison on the 25th,” said an official.

Bageerath was arrested by the Cyberabad police on May 16 and is lodged in Cherlapally Central Prison after being remanded to judicial custody by a court.
According to the police, the case was registered on May 8 after the mother of a minor girl lodged a complaint alleging that her daughter had been sexually assaulted by the accused.
Police said the investigation in the case is continuing.
