Poetry meet for children in Dharwad on August 30

Karnataka Bala Vikas Academy Dharwad will organise a poetry meet for children at the Tej Auditorium, Vithal Institute of Child Health and Specialty Centre, in Dharwad on August 30.

Children can submit poems in one of three languages, English, Kannada, Hindi or Urdu.

The competition is for high school children (classes VIII to X). This is the 22nd edition of the meet.

Poems should be written by applicants. It can be in the form of short poems, couplets, limericks, sonnets or other forms.

The event is to enhance creativity and talent among children. Winners will be given attractive prizes and certificates.

Entries should be sent to the academy before August 28.

The selected students will recite their self-written poems on August 30, said a release.
