The Pokemon GO Bug Out 2026 event begins on March 17 at 10:00 am local time and runs until March 23 at 8:00 pm. The event brings several Bug-type Pokemon into focus, including a new debut and new shiny releases.
Players will also see increased Bug-type spawns across the map, along with special raid bosses and rotating Lure encounters.The event introduces Blipbug from the Galar region while also adding shiny versions of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. Players can take advantage of boosted encounters, catch bonuses, and the GO Pass reward track during the event. With several useful spawns appearing in the wild, it is a good week for collecting candy, completing evolutions, and working toward shiny encounters.
Pokemon GO Bug Out 2026 new debut and featured Bug-type spawns
Blipbug makes its first appearance in the game during the Pokemon GO Bug Out 2026 event. Players can encounter it in the wild, through 1-Star raids, and from GO Pass rewards. Blipbug evolves into Dottler using 25 Candy and then into Orbeetle with a total of 100 Candy required.Shiny Sizzlipede also arrives during the event. Its evolution, Centiskorch, can also appear as a shiny once players evolve Sizzlipede.Several Bug-type Pokemon appear more frequently in the wild throughout the event.
Common spawns include Caterpie, Scyther, Dwebble, Sizzlipede, and Nymble. These Pokemon are useful for candy collection and evolution experience.
Pokemon GO Bug Out 2026 Pass rewards and event bonuses
All players receive access to the free GO Pass during the event. Progress through the pass is made by earning GO Points from event tasks and activities.The free track includes rewards such as Blipbug encounters, Stardust, XP, Lure Modules, and Great Balls. Players can also purchase a Deluxe GO Pass for $4.99, which unlocks additional rewards such as extra Pokemon encounters, Premium Battle Passes, and Candy XL.
Another option costs $6.99 and includes the Deluxe pass plus six extra ranks.
