Police book case over fake transfer recommendation issued in CM’s name

The Bengaluru police have registered an FIR over the alleged creation of a fake recommendation in the name of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the transfer of the Mandya Health and Family Welfare officer and its circulation on social media.

The letter, which is alleged to have been fabricated by unknown persons, stated that Dr. K. Mohan, Health and Family Welfare Officer, should be transferred and appointed as Excise Deputy Commissioner, Mysuru Rural. However, the letter neither bore an official date nor carried a reference number, though it was purported to have been drafted in 2024.
