Police close complaint against CM

Belagavi city police have closed a complain filed by a city based activist against the Chief Minister for trying to slap a police officer during a Congress rally in Belagavi in April.

The station house officer has issued an endorsement and response to the complainant Bheemappa Gadad saying they would consider a complaint if filed by the purported victim.

It is clear that the Chief Minister is a public servant as per the provisions of BNS Article 2 and 21 .

This has been established by the Supreme Court in the leading case Karunanidhi vs Union of India, the officer in charge of the camp police station said.
