Police open fire on youth while he was trying to flee

The youth, who killed a minor girl by slitting her throat in Khajipeta, was shot by the police near Mydukuru in Kadapa district on Friday (April 10, 2026) night. He suffered bullet injury to his leg and was admitted into a hospital for treatment.

According to the police, 19-year-old Venkatesh was taken into custody on Friday (April 10, 2026) around 9 p.m. Immediately, 100-200 people reached Khajipet police station and tried to attack him in a rage of anger. While the officials were shifting him to a safe place, he jumped out of the vehicle to escape from the police.
