Bengaluru residents in several neighbourhoods will experience planned power outages on Saturday, February 14, as maintenance work is carried out across key electricity infrastructure zones. The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company has announced disruptions in supply from morning to evening in more than 150 layouts across the city.

The shutdowns are part of emergency maintenance and upgrade work being undertaken within the limits of the KV Amarajyothi, NGEF, REMCO and Kanteerava stations. Officials said the temporary outages are necessary to ensure system reliability and prevent future breakdowns.

Domlur and Surrounding Areas (10:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

Power supply will be interrupted in Domlur 2nd Stage, Kodihalli, Domlur Village, Yogananda Layout, Paramahamsa Road, Doopanahalli, HAL 2nd Stage up to 6th Main, ESI Hospital area, 100 Feet Road, Salarpuria Tech Park, JRR Layout, Diamond District and nearby localities.

Affected areas include Jogupalya, Car Street, Bazaar Street, Jogupalya Main Road, Ranka Court, Artillery Road, Gautampura, Cambridge Road, RMZ Millenia, Halasuru and Halasuru Road, Ajanta Trinity Circle, Indiranagar 1st Stage, HAL 2nd Stage, Benniganahalli, A and B Narayanapura, Kaggadasapura, Pai Layout, Udayanagar, Byrasandra, C V Raman Nagar, Kasturinagar, Nagavarapalya, Balaji Layout, BCIE Estate, Krishnappanapalya, Sudduguntepalya and surrounding areas.

Central Bengaluru Areas (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Power supply will also be disrupted across parts of Mysore Road, Shamanna Garden, Pipeline Road, New and Old Guddadahalli, Kuvempu Nagar and nearby stretches. In central business areas, outages will affect Cubbonpet cross roads, Chowlagalli lanes, Nrupathunga Road, UVCE, Government Arts College, St Martha’s Hospital area, Nagarthpete Main Road, KG Road, OTC Road, SP Road, SJP Road, Dharmaraya Swamy Temple Road and nearby commercial stretches.

What Residents Should Know

Authorities advise residents and businesses to plan their day accordingly, charge essential devices in advance and make alternative arrangements where uninterrupted power is critical. Traffic signals and commercial establishments in affected areas may also experience temporary disruptions.

BESCOM officials said supply will be restored immediately after maintenance work is completed. The planned outages, though inconvenient, are intended to strengthen infrastructure and reduce unexpected power failures in the future.
