Gukesh played out another draw against Vincent Keymer, while Chidambaram shocked Dutchman Jorden Van Foreest.

World Champion D Gukesh split the points yet again at the Prague International Chess Festival on Thursday as he played out a draw with German Vincent Keymer, while Aravindh Chidambaram stunned Dutchman Jorden Van Foreest in round right of the event in the Czech Capital City.
American Hans Niemann got the better of David Anton Guijaro, while Parham Maghsoodloo and Nordibek Yakuboev also shared the spoils. Nordibek Abdusattorov posted a win over David Navarra in the penultimate round of the Masters section.
In the challengers category, India Divya Deshmukh had to settle for a draw against Jachym Nemec, as did Suriya Shekhar Ganguly against Vaclav Finek. Jiner Zhu of China and Dutch Thomas Beerdsen also had to make do with half a point each in the oher drawn game of the day. Spaniard Danil Yuffa and Hungarian Benjamin Gleruda registered wins over Jonas Buhl Bjerre and Stephen Hrbek respectively.
At the conclusion of eight rounds of play, Abdusattorov stands atop the Masters table with five and a half points to his name, ahead of Van Foreest with 5 points. Czech hope Navara stands third with 4 and a half points to his name, followed by Maghsoodloo, Keymer and Chidambaram, who all have 4 points each.
Yakuboev, Niemann and Guijaro have 3 and a half points each, while Gukesh rounds off the table with 2 and a half points to his name.
Finek leads the callengers section with 5 and a half points followed by Yuffa with five. Gleruda and Nemec stand three and four with four and a half points. Divya and Beerdsen, who have 4 points each are placed fifth and sixth, followed by Bjerre and Hrbek on 3 and a half points each. Ganguly with 3 points and Zhu with 2 and a half points to her name close out the table at the end of eight rounds of play.
