Prajwal Revanna's father HD Revanna evades questions on his son's conviction

Prajwal Revanna has been convicted in the first of four rape cases against him, found guilty of raping a domestic worker at the Revanna residence. His father, H.D. Revanna, who is himself out on bail in a related kidnapping case, evaded all questions regarding his son's conviction. The court delivered the verdict after a trial that concluded in 14 months from the time of arrest. According to the prosecution, it was the strongest case against the former MP, with evidence where "the digital evidence matched the DNA evidence". The Special Investigation Team (SIT) had to rescue the victim, who was initially taken from her home, and provide her with protection before recording her statement. Prajwal Revanna reportedly broke down in the court hall after the conviction was announced and is expected to be held at Bangalore Central Prison.
