Arrangements are underway for President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Anantapur on July 1 to attend the first convocation of the Central University of Andhra Pradesh on its Jnana Seema campus.
According to a press release, District Collector O. Anand and Superintendent of Police P. Jagadeesh inspected the university premises on Friday, along with Vice-Chancellor S.A. Kori, and reviewed arrangements.
The Collector directed the officials to establish five helipads and submit geo-coordinates promptly. He also reviewed the convocation venue, road connectivity, and civic infrastructure. Rural Water Supply authorities were asked to prepare proposals for a borewell to meet the university’s water requirements before the President’s visit.
