This dynamic move reflects a commitment to nurturing youthful visionaries within the party, with plans to elevate Raj to a full-time national president position in just two months.
Patna: Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) chief and former Union minister Pashupati Kumar Paras on Monday appointed former MP Prince Raj as the party’s national working president, announcing that he would be elevated to the post of full-time national president in two months.Raj’s elevation was announced at a meeting of the party’s senior national, state and district functionaries held at the RLJP’s state headquarters here. The announcement made by Paras was unanimously endorsed by the leaders present at the meeting, which was attended by state unit chiefs, national office-bearers and members of the Bihar executive committee.Addressing the gathering, Paras said the move reflected the party’s effort to give greater responsibility to young leaders.
“Today’s politics has entered a new phase. The time has come to hand over the party’s command to youths. In line with this, the responsibility has been given to Prince Raj,” he said.Paras added that another meeting of party functionaries would be held after two months to formally appoint Raj as the national president, after which his decisions would be binding on all party members.Speaking on the occasion, Raj said the RLJP would contest seats in the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, irrespective of the electoral outcome for the party.
