Private hospital employee held for allegedly assaulting, harassing woman colleague

Gurgaon: An assistant manager at a private hospital was arrested on Thursday for allegedly assaulting and harassing a woman colleague during duty hours, police said.According to police, the woman approached Sector 50 police station and alleged that her team leader misbehaved with her while she was on duty on June 25.

She alleged that the accused slapped her multiple times and pushed her during an altercation.In her complaint, the woman further alleged that the accused previously behaved inappropriately with her and repeatedly pressured her to resign from her job.“Based on the complaint, an FIR was registered under Section 115(2), 79 and 74 of BNS. The accused was arrested during the investigation,” a police officer said.Police identified the accused as a 36-year-old resident of Punjab who was working as an assistant manager at the hospital.“The accused was taken into custody, and further investigation is underway. Statements of the concerned persons are being recorded,” the officer added.Police said further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
