Programme to celebrate 75th birthday of JSS secretary Ajit Prasad to be held on April 5

Philanthropic activities and a quiz competition will feature in the 75th birthday celebrations of Ajit Prasad, secretary of Janata Shikshana Samiti (JSS), in Dharwad on Sunday (April 5).

JSS administrator Arihant Prasad told press persons in Dharwad on Thursday (April 2) that the Amrut Mahotsav (75th birthday) will be held at the JSS Sannidhi Kalakshetra in Vidyagiri, Dharwad, on April 5 and Mr. Ajit will be escorted to the venue in a procession.

Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H.K. Patil will inaugurate the event at 10 a.m. in the presence of Mallikarjun Swami of Murugha Mutt and Prabhu Channabasava Swami of Athani Motagi Mutt. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi will release a felicitation volume and Karnataka Legislative Council chairman Basavaraj Horatti will preside over the function.

JSS ITI College principal Mahaveer Upadhye said that as part of the birthday celebrations, food and clothing will be distributed in various orphanages, and a quiz competition will be held for degree students.
