The Cyberabad and Malkajgiri police have imposed prohibitory orders around all Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examination centres within the commissionerate limits from May 13 to May 21 to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations and maintain public order.
The order, under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), prohibits the assembly of five or more persons within a 200-metre radius of all examination centres during the examination period.
According to the order, photocopy and internet centres located within a 100-metre radius of the examination venues will also remain closed during the examinations.
The restrictions will be in force daily from 6.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. between May 13 and May 21.
Police said the measures were being implemented to prevent obstruction, maintain peace and avoid any disturbance to public tranquillity near the examination centres.
The order exempts police personnel, military personnel, home guards on duty, flying squads of the Education department and funeral processions.
Officials warned that any person found violating the orders would face prosecution under relevant sections of law.
