Hailee Steinfeld turned 29 on Dec. 11, and her father, Peter Steinfeld, did not keep it cute and brief. He went long. He went personal. He put it on Instagram with a selfie and a caption that read like a full-on family mic drop, not a generic celebrity birthday post.Hours earlier, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir also put Steinfeld’s name back in the football conversation, even if he never tried to. In comments to ClutchPoints, Shakir framed Josh Allen’s marriage to Steinfeld as the kind of stability that shows up on Sundays.
Peter Steinfeld’s birthday post for Hailee Steinfeld read like a proud dad who cannot stop talking
Peter Steinfeld posted an “adorable selfie” with Hailee Steinfeld and wrote a long caption aimed at his “special girl,” according to Ankita Yadav’s report.
He said he felt “incredibly proud” of her and leaned hard into who she is, not what she does.Peter Steinfeld wrote: "Happy Birthday SPECIAL GIRL!!!!@ haileesteinfeld I am so incredibly proud of the woman you are- strong, kind, loving, and grounded!!. Watching you continue to build your beautiful life and marriage, and seeing the grace and joy you bring into the world, fills my heart more than you will ever know," he wrote.
He followed it with another message that doubled down on the relationship and the tone. No vague stuff. No “so proud.” He spelled out what he values and why he feels lucky.
Peter Steinfeld added: "Thank you for the wonderful relationship we share, it’s one of the greatest blessings of my life. YOU bring so much light, kindness, strength, and positivity to everyone around you, and I am endlessly grateful to call you my daughter.
Here’s to another year of BILLION DOLLAR SMILES, LOUD LAUGHTER and CONTINUED SUCCESS!! Happy Happy Birthday to you, I love you, Dad," he added. The post also came with a clear visual. In the snap, both smiled at the camera. Steinfeld wore a black-and-white dress. Peter Steinfeld wore a white shirt, a yellow tie, and a gray blazer. The report also noted Peter Steinfeld works as a personal trainer, while Steinfeld’s mother, Cheri, works as an interior designer.
Khalil Shakir framed Josh Allen’s marriage to Hailee Steinfeld as a real advantage
ClutchPoints’ Andrew Korpan reported that Shakir spoke about the impact Steinfeld has had on Allen after the wedding. Shakir did not pitch it like gossip. He pitched it like routine. Like support. Like the kind of home life that keeps a quarterback steady when the week turns ugly.Shakir said: “Love is an amazing thing. I think he's always been a great player, [but] finding his partner in crime [has] only boosted his game,” and then he made his point in plain language: “When you have a solid foundation at home, when you have somebody that loves you and is going to be there for you no matter [if you've had] your best game, your worst game, no matter what happens, they love you for who you are as a person, not who you are as a football player.
”He kept going, and the theme stayed the same. Marriage, to him, equals stability. And stability matters in the NFL.Shakir continued: “Being married helps a lot. I come home, and there's nothing but love in the household. If you need a shoulder to cry on, they're there for you. They're just there for you every single step of the way. I think love just boosts your game, and it allows you to be more free every time you leave the house,” he continued.Shakir also shared his reaction to the wedding itself. He said, “It was insane,” and added, “A great time. Their wedding was beautiful from start to finish.” He also said he appreciated how everything “was put together.” Korpan’s report noted Shakir sounded honored to be invited, and that other Bills teammates attended as well. Then the conversation veered into something very Bills-coded. Shakir talked about Hallmark’s football-themed holiday movies, including the release of Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story on Nov. 22, 2025, as a follow-up to Hallmark’s 2024 movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. Shakir said: “I don't know if it's a different type of acting or something like that, I'm not too educated on Hallmark in general, but the movie, I thought, was put together well, and I think having some of my teammates in there made it much more fun to watch,” he explained. He even sounded open to a future cameo. When asked, he answered: “Yes sir,” and Korpan noted he said it with a laugh.
