The Kerala Public Service Commission has refuted reports that there were differences of opinion at the commission’s meeting earlier this week. In a statement here on Tuesday, the PSC Secretary said the PSC’s decisions taken after detailed discussions in the commission were unanimous and based on the Constitution.
“The PSC operates on the basis of independent, transparent and constitutionally based guidelines and practices adopted from time to time. The commission is committed to ensuring that its tradition, credibility, and reputation are not tarnished. The commission’s policy is to go to any length to rectify and permanently fix the recruitment process if errors are found, which are extremely rare during the recruitment process for thousands of posts,” said the statement.
The commission said due to the confidentiality that must be maintained at various stages of the selection process, it was limited in its responses to the allegations that arise.
“The commission will uphold the trust and expectations placed in the Kerala Public Service Commission by lakhs of candidates. Despite various types of propaganda being carried out against the PSC, the commission and its staff are engaged in free and fair processes for the selection of candidates,” said the statement.
