Bokaro: The state assembly’s petition committee on Tuesday directed Bokaro district officials to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances. The meeting, held at the Circuit House, was chaired by committee chairman and Chandankiyari MLA Umakant Rajak.“The committee reviewed 52 petitions received from different parts of the district and held detailed discussions with officials from multiple departments. It issued strict instructions for time-bound disposal of pending cases and stressed that each petition must be treated with seriousness,” said Ajay Nath Jha, deputy commissioner of Bokaro.Rajak said the committee serves as a vital link between the public and the government, and any negligence in handling public concerns would not be tolerated. The panel prioritised key civic issues such as drinking water, roads, electricity, healthcare, and education, directing officials to act swiftly.
