Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Moscow remains ready to reach a peace agreement with Ukraine through negotiations and is willing to accept compromises discussed with US President Donald Trump during their talks in Anchorage.
In remarks shared by Russia’s Foreign Ministry on social media, Putin said Russia is committed to finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict and is prepared to move forward with an agreement.
“We are certainly ready and willing to reach an agreement with Ukraine by peaceful means," Putin said.

The Russian leader added that Moscow is prepared to accept compromises that were discussed with Trump during their meeting in Anchorage, but stressed that Ukraine must also agree to those terms.
“Russia is prepared to accept the compromises we discussed with Donald Trump in Anchorage; the Ukrainian side must now also agree to them," Putin said.
The comments come amid renewed diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war, which has continued for more than four years and remains one of the most significant geopolitical conflicts in Europe since World War II.
While Putin did not publicly detail the specific compromises discussed during the Anchorage talks, the statement signals Moscow’s willingness to continue negotiations as international efforts to broker a settlement intensify.
Neither Kyiv nor the White House immediately responded to Putin’s latest remarks.
Ukraine has repeatedly maintained that any peace agreement must respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, while Russia has insisted that its security concerns and territorial claims be addressed as part of any final settlement.
The latest comments suggest that diplomatic channels between Moscow and Washington remain active even as fighting continues along parts of the front line.
