Due to his physical condition, Mansaram was unable to defend himself or escape the attack. When Mansharam’s sons—Manoj, Rajesh and Rajkumar—returned home they found their father bleeding profusely and took him to a local practitioner who administered first-aid.Thereafter Mansharam was taken to the Community Health Centre in Deva where the attending physician Dr Neeraj Grover cleaned the wounds and administered the first dose of anti-rabies vaccine.
Given the seriousness of his condition, Mansharam was referred to the District Hospital for advanced treatment on Monday night but his condition continued to deteriorate and he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night.Police said the body was handed over to the family for last rites after the postmortem.Dr Grover said the victim had sustained multiple wounds across his body. “His one side of the body was paralysed and the dog had caused numerous injuries by biting and scratching him,” he said.
