Rahul Mishra will open the 18th edition of Hyundai India Couture Week 2025, presented in association with Reliance Brands and organised by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). The designer is known for his detailed craftsmanship and strong storytelling, and his opening show is expected to reflect both. Rahul Mishra shared that showcasing in India feels special to him as it brings his work back to where it began. He described the upcoming collection as a personal journey that explores love—not only as a feeling, but as a transformation. He said each piece in the collection is an expression of surrender, where craft, emotion, and soul come together. "Every time we showcase in India, it fills us with immense pride to present our work on home soil, where the roots of our craft run deepest.
The collection explores the idea of love not just as a feeling, but as a transformation and a journey of becoming. Through every ensemble, we attempt to express that quiet surrender, where craft, emotion, and soul dissolve into one," said Rahul. Sunil Sethi, Chairman of FDCI, said it is an honour to have Mishra open the event. He praised the designer’s ability to push creative boundaries while staying connected to traditional techniques.
Sethi also called Mishra a true ambassador of Indian couture on the global stage. The event will be held in New Delhi from July 23 to July 30. It will bring together some of India’s most respected fashion designers, highlighting their work in heritage, craftsmanship, and modern design. Couture Week continues to be one of the most anticipated events in the Indian fashion calendar, providing a platform for designers to share new ideas and interpretations of couture with audiences at home and abroad.
