Pune: Heavy rain disrupted flight operations at Pune airport on Monday, forcing the diversion of two flights and causing delays to several arriving and departing services.“Due to adverse weather conditions in the region earlier today, flight operations at Pune Airport were temporarily impacted, resulting in the diversion of two flights and delays to a few arriving and departing services.

IndiGo flight 6E-502 from Chennai to Pune landed safely at Pune Airport after a temporary diversion. IndiGo flight 6E-135 from Kolkata to Pune landed later in the evening after a delay,” said Pune airport director Santosh Dhoke.One Akasa Air flight was also cancelled due to operational reasons.“Terminal operations at Pune Airport remained normal throughout, and all passenger facilities continued to function smoothly. With improvement in weather conditions, flight operations gradually returned to normal. No further weather-related delays or diversions are expected at present,” Dhoke told TOI.
