Literature enthusiasts in Chhattisgarh are set to witness a rare cultural fest as the “Hind Yugm Utsav 2025” comes to the state capital for the first time. The two-day festival, scheduled for September 20 and 21 at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay auditorium, will bring together nearly 100 celebrated authors, poets, and performers from across India. At the heart of this edition will be acclaimed writer and Jnanpith awardee Vinod Kumar Shukla, around whom multiple sessions, stage adaptations of his poems, and a special documentary screening will be centered. Visitors will also get the opportunity to hear and interact with noted personalities, poets, filmmakers, writer-actors, bestselling authors. Organisers said the event will combine literature, storytelling, music, theatre, stand-up comedy, and workshops. Highlights include open mic sessions under the banner “Chhattisgarh: The Stage is Open,” where over 200 emerging voices will present their work, discussions on publishing trends, campus poetry showcases, and new book launches. Hind Yugm Utsav is India’s only travelling literary festival, with earlier editions held in Barmer, Varanasi, and Bhopal. Raipur will now host its fourth edition.
