Rajesh Gandhi Inaugurates SITEX 2026 in Surat; 110 Exhibitors Showcase Global Textile Tech

Surat: Rajesh Gandhi, senior-vice president of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the promoter of Vadilal Industries inaugurated the 13th edition of Surat International Textile Expo (SITEX 2026) organised jointly by the The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and the Southern Gujarat Chamber Trade and Industries Development Center at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Center located in Sarsana on February 21. 

Rajesh Gandhi, senior VP of GCCI said, “It is the true legacy and vision of the past presidents that the SGCCI is scaling new heights. The GCCI has decided to collaborate with the SGCCI in all future endeavours. We are organising GATE 2026 in April, which is going to be a huge success in Gujarat”

SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi said that apart from Surat, a total of 110 exhibitors from New Delhi, Mumbai, Ludhiana, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Thane, Panipat, Kolhapur, Pune, Dadra, Bhilwara and Valsad have participated in this exhibition. The exhibitors will showcase world-class textile machinery, some of which will be launched and exhibited for the first time in the world and India in Surat at this expo. This will further strengthen Surat’s unique identity in the textile industry and will become a center of attraction for buyers, manufacturers and technology experts from the country and abroad.

In addition, the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Public Education Society and Public University jointly organized the An attractive and unique cultural festival ‘Surat Art Street 2026’ art festival has been organized for the art lovers of Surat at the Amphitheater of Skate College, Athwa Lines, Surat from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on 21st and 22nd February, 2026, in which various types of art works, painting exhibitions, live art demonstrations, music and other performances will be presented by the artists and creators of the city. In this festival, visitors will be able to get a unique experience of handmade crafts, creative products and artistic presentations.

Ashish Vakil, Chairman of Sarvajanik Education Society, said  the main objective of this art festival is to bring art to the general public and increase interest and awareness towards art in the society, in which citizens have been invited to come with friends and family and enjoy the atmosphere of art celebration. This festival will be a special attraction for the youth, art lovers and creative people of the city.
