Rally organised to spread awareness on eye donation in Vijayawada

Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital (AEH) organised a rally to spread awareness on eye donation, as part of the National Eye Donation Fortnight, here on Monday. Commissioner of Health G. Veerapandian flagged off the rally in the presence of AEH Head of Clinical Services Dr. K.K.S. Chakravarthy. 

Director of Public Health Dr. K. Padmavathi, Director of Secondary Health Dr. A. Siri, NTR District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Suhasini and Indian Red Cross Society (Vijayawada) president Dr. G. Samaram were special guests. 

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Veerapandian said eye donation is a priceless gift that should be given to those in need, and creating awareness about it was essential to motivate people to donate their eyes.
