Ram Charan arrives in UK to promote ‘Peddi’; fans give grand welcome

Global star Ram Charan is basking in the success of his latest sports action drama, ‘Peddi’ directed by Buchi Babu Sana. As the film is enjoying a fanfare in India now the actor has reached the foreign land as he arrived in the United Kingdom to promote his film.

The makers took to their X (formerly Twitter) to share that he received a grand welcome from fans after arriving in the UK. Sharing pictures from his visit, the makers wrote, “Mega Power Star @AlwaysRamCharan has landed in UK to watch #Peddi with the audience.”

In the post they also announced that Ram Charan will attend a special screening of the film along with director Buchi Babu Sana at Cineworld, Hounslow, United Kingdom.

They also shared the timings of the four shows which shall be held. The actor is also expected to interact with fans after the screening, making it a memorable event for everyone present.

Speaking about the film, ‘Peddi’ tells the story of Ram Charan’s character ‘Peddi’ who is an elite sportsman who plays cricket for a daily wage. His life turns after an incident and he chooses sports to fight for the identity of his people.

He takes part in professional wrestling and sprint races.As per trade analyst Sacnilk, ‘Peddi’ has achieved worldwide collections of Rs 334.75 crore.

The film’s successful run also saw controversy as viewers criticised makers for objectifying Janhvi Kapoor’s character. Director Buchi Babu Sana apologised after the backlash and announced necessary changes have been made. On his official social media handle he wrote, “After reviewing the feedback, we have decided to make changes to the concerned portions. Cinema grows through its connection with audiences, and as storytellers, we have a responsibility to be mindful of evolving perspectives and sensitivities.”The film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
