The highly anticipated 'Ramayana' teaser, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, has garnered positive acclaim. Kapoor expressed his humility in portraying the character, emphasizing Rama's rare purity. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the ambitious two-part epic, with a star-studded cast including Sai Pallavi and Yash, is slated for Diwali releases in 2026 and 2027.

The teaser for the most awaited 'Ramayana' was unveiled on Hanuman Jayanti and has received positive reactions. It focuses on Ranbir as Lord Ram with the tagline 'Our hero, Our protector'.

Special screenings were held in Los Angeles and New York. Ranbir Kapoor has shared his honest thoughts on playing Lord Rama in the upcoming film 'Ramayana'. He said Rama's purity is very rare. The ambitious two-part film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra.

As quoted by IANS, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about what the role means to him: "I don't think I'm here to represent Rama. I'm here to learn from him.

There is a simplicity and purity to him that is very rare; and trying to understand and imbibe that has been a deeply humbling experience." He also mentioned that becoming a father to Raha made the role feel even more special and gave him a turning point in life.Nitesh Tiwari on the emotional angle of 'Ramayana'Director Nitesh Tiwari explained the emotional core of the story. He said in a statement, "Ramayana's greatness lies in its emotional richness.

At its heart, it is not just about good and evil, but about choices, consequences, and the weight of doing what is right." Producer Namit Malhotra added, "The power of Rama's story is not in what he conquers, but in what he lets go of. He represents a standard that is not easy, not convenient; but necessary."Also on the last day, during the teaser launch event, Ranbir said, "Rama's journey is deeply human and that is what we have tried to stay true to"

Cast and release plans of 'Ramayana'

The film stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Other actors include Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha, and Indira Krishnan. The project features music by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Part 1 is scheduled for Diwali 2026 and Part 2 for Diwali 2027.
