Ranchi: The police carried out extensive security check of Ranchi civil court premises for the second day on Saturday after it received an email threatening to blow up the premises using RDX on Feb 4.Jharkhand Armed Police personnel, along with bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs, searched various places of the court but nothing suspicious was found. City SP Paras Rana said, “An intensive search of the court was conducted today. The exercise would be held frequently in the future also.”The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS against unknown persons in this connection. The cyber team is also trying to locate the sender, police said.Meanwhile, members of the Ranchi District Bar Association (RDBA) continued to protest the alleged misbehaviour of Mahesh Munda, the officer-in-charge of SC/ST police station, with two women advocates. Thousands of advocates wore black badges to show their disapproval over the incident.“We worked in the court wearing black badges. We are seeking action against the concerned officer. The agitation would be intensified in case the demand is not met. The police are saying the women advocates are at fault. I demand that police should play the CCTV footages of the incident on the social media,” RDBA secretary Sanjay Kumar Vidrohi said.
