Rane rallies to win Shakti Club Open TT

Nagpur: Unseeded Vaibhav Rane rallied from a game down to surprise second seed Rajat Toraskar 7-11, 11-8, 11-9, 11-9 and emerge as the men’s singles champion in the Shakti Club Open ranking table tennis tournament on Sunday.Earlier in the semifinal, Rane upset top seed Jayesh Kulkarni in straight games 3-0.In the women’s singles title clash, Vaishnavi Devgade registered a hard-fought 11-7, 8-11, 11-8, 11-7 triumph over Varda Kejgir.Later, Deepak Dhote distributed the prizes.
