There has been just no stopping Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar' at the box office. The film that released on Friday, has been drawing in the masses even on working weekdays, and raking in the big bucks at the ticket windows.
Amid the frenzy surrounding the film, viral news reports allege that the film's screening was disrupted in Bhopal, over a scruffle that broke out among audience members.
Audience get into a fight at screening
A video posted online by Aaj Tak, shows some men getting into a fight during the screening of the multi-starrer at a local cineplex. A video from inside the theatre that has since gone viral, shows several people standing up from their seats, shouting at each other, and even getting into a physical altercation.What seemingly began as an argument reportedly escalated with the men leaving their seats and creating a ruckus, prompting other members in the audience to stand in their seats, while others seemingly headed to the exit doors.
Several reports of audience scruffles
As per reports on various news sites, the disturbance disrupted the screening. This is not the first such incident reported over the past few days. Other clips show an audience member irking fellow theatre audiences by lighting up his cigarette inside the theatre.
Another sparked outrage for not standing up during the national anthem.
'Dhurandhar' box office performance
As far as box office performance is concerned, 'Dhurandhar' is on a roll. The film that debuted with a Rs 100 crore weekend, has already made its way past the Rs 150 crore mark at the Indian box office. As per Sacnilk, the film has grossed an estimated Rs 182.75 crore in India. With an additional Rs 42 crore coming in from international markets, the film's gross total collection has already surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
The total collections of the film currently stands at an impressive Rs 224.75 crore. Besides the rave reviews from fans and critics alike, the film has also become one of the highest-grossing films for leading men Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna and Sanjay Dutt.
