‘RC17’ update: Sukumar not ready to rush the film; Ram Charan starrer to begin after Dasara - Report

As Ram Charan’s is enjoying the success of his latest release ‘Peddi’ fans have been also eagerly waiting for his next project with ace filmmaker Sukumar tentatively called ‘RC17’. If the latest reports are to be believed, the team seems to be spending more time on developing the script and fans may have to wait a little longer before the much-awaited film officially begins.

‘Pushpa’ director wants more time

According to a report by 123Telugu, Sukumar is still working on the script and wants additional time before taking the project on to the sets. The filmmaker is known for spending a lot of time on writing and developing his stories.Reports say Sukumar is carefully polishing every part of the script and does not want to rush the process. He reportedly wants the story to be completely ready before announcing the next stage of the project.Because of this, the film's official launch may happen only after the Dasara season.

Delay to help Ram Charan as well with injuries

The postponement may also benefit Ram Charan. The actor is reportedly dealing with a wrist injury and is currently taking care of his health.The extra time could help him recover fully before starting work on another big film. Instead of rushing into production, the actor can focus on getting back to complete fitness.With both the director and actor using this period productively, the team appears comfortable with the delay.

Earlier the media outlet also suggested that the shooting of the film is expected to begin in July or August. However, the latest update indicates the pre-production work may take more time.The film, ‘RC17’ was announced back in March 2024. Sharing a picture, the director, Ram Charan, wrote, “#RC17 the force reunites”. The post further confirmed that the music will be composed by Devi Sri Prasad.The makers are yet to share further updates.
