Meghan recently appeared on Aspire with Emma Grede in an episode, debuting on Tuesday, June 17.

As seen in a preview, when Grede, the host of the podcast, asked Meghan about the public's perception of her and what she would change if she could.

The founding partner and chief product officer of SKIMS and CEO and co-founder of Good American ste on the context, saying, "I wanted to ask you a little bit about the public narrative, because when you sign up to be an actress, you know that people are going to start recognizing you, they're going to start speaking to you on the street.

But that's very different from what you have now."

For the unversed, Meghan was an actress on Suits when she met and began dating Prince Harry in 2016. The couple wed in 2018, and Meghan embraced a working royal role alongside her husband before they stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to California.Grede then presented the question, "If you could rewrite your public narrative from scratch, is there anything that you would do differently?"To which, Meghan replied, "Yes, I would ask people to tell the truth."

From royalty to reality to rebranding: The transition

The question of whether Prince William will remove the HRH (His/Her Royal Highness) titles from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children has been a subject of speculation and debate within the British royal family for quite some time now.

For context, when ‘Megxit’ happened (In January 2020, Meghan and Prince Harry announced their decision to step back from their roles as senior members of the British royal family), as part of this agreement, Harry and Meghan agreed not to use their HRH titles in conjunction with their work going forward.

However, they retained the Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles. Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, automatically received the titles of prince and princess upon the accession of their grandfather, King Charles III, to the throne.

Now, although Harry and Meghan agreed to relinquish their ‘His/Her Royal Highness’ (HRH) titles and cease representing the Queen in official duties, they retained their titles in private life, leading to public scrutiny when Meghan used her HRH title on a note to a friend in 2025 – a move for which Meghan was accused of using the royal title for her personal gain.
