Regional workshop on empowerment of adolescent girls held in Visakhapatnam

A regional workshop on “Kishori Vikasam,” focusing on the empowerment, safety, education and leadership of adolescent girls, was organised by the Women Development and Child Welfare Department (WDCW) in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.

Principal Secretary (Women and Child Welfare) A. Surya Kumari addressed participants virtually and called for inter-departmental coordination. Mission Vatsalya Joint Director M. Sirisha inaugurated the programme and outlined the implementation guidelines. Experts, including consultants from the department and UNICEF provided training on outreach strategies.
