Restore power, water supply for school to run smoothly: HC to Telangana Dairy Federation

The Telangana High Court instructed the Telangana State Dairy Development Co-operative Federation to immediately provide supply of electricity and water to Quarter no. A-2 at the latter’s Lalapet premises so that the government primary school-Seetaphalmandi (Vijaya Dairy school) can be run from there from Monday, June 29.

The order was passed by Justice Juvvadi Sridevi of the High Court while hearing a writ petition filed by some parents of the children studying in the school stating that the school was being run from a dilapidated building. They sought an order to shift the school to one of the vacant quarters of the federation at Lalapet. With the court direction, the authorities decided to run the school from quarter no. A-2.

However, the petitioners’ counsel Chikkudu Prabhakar submitted to the bench that there was no water and power supply to that quarter. The judge directed the federation to immediately restore water and power supply to the quarter so that the school can function without any hindrance.
