Ponda: Incessant rain brought down a 6m high and 10m long retaining wall at Gaunem, Bandora in Ponda on Sunday morning.Local MLA and power minister Ramkrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar inspected the site and got the reconstruction work started.Dhavalikar said it was fortunate that no one was present on the road when the wall collapsed.He said the work has to be completed soon as the road is busy and delay could affect smooth traffic movement. He requested sarpanch Ramchandra Naik to complete all necessary formalities so that he can get the work sanctioned through disasters management authority.Besides the sarpanch, Dhavalikar was accompanied by local panchayat members and the ZP member.
