Patna: Revenue courts will now accept only online documents and evidence in both pending and new cases filed under the revenue court management system (RCMS), minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said on Tuesday.Revenue and land reforms department secretary Jai Singh has asked all district magistrates, additional district magistrates, deputy collectors land reforms (DCLRs) and circle officers not to accept any physical documents from applicants or opposite parties during hearings under the RCMS.If additional documents or evidence are required during a hearing, the court will ask the parties to upload them on the RCMS portal.
Cases will be decided solely on the basis of digital records available on the portal. Jaiswal said the system would eliminate the scope for tampering with files and related disputes in govt offices.Jaiswal said the move aims to make the judicial process more accountable, transparent, digital and corruption-free. He said officials would no longer accept offline documents at any stage and expressed confidence the new system would make the process easier for the public and strengthen faith in judicial decisions.The department has directed all district and circle-level officials to ensure strict compliance with the new system across the state.
