FC Goa reach RFDL 2025 26 final on aggregate despite 2 1 loss to Punjab, Bengaluru FC crush Kerala Blasters 10 0 overall, Goa face Bengaluru in the title clash on 18 April

FC Goa officially confirmed their place in the Reliance Foundation Development League 2025-26 final, where Bengaluru FC await them.

Despite a narrow 2-1 loss to Punjab FC in the semi-final second leg at the GMC Stadium in Goa, the Gaurs progressed on aggregate 5-2.

Punjab FC’s Vishal Yadav opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, but FC Goa’s Kavya Sunil Katkar equalised in the 24th. Konsam Sanathoi Singh restored Punjab’s lead late in the 83rd minute, however, it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit. The match ended with Sitroy Carvalho receiving a red card in stoppage time.

Earlier, FC Goa secured a commanding 4-0 win over Punjab FC in the first leg. Asher Franz Rodrigues broke the deadlock in the 35th minute, while second-half strikes from Prachit Gaonkar, Shaikh Mohamad Ismail, and a Konsam Akash Singh penalty sealed the dominant win.

Bengaluru FC Outclass Kerala Blasters

Bengaluru FC delivered a masterclass, dismantling Kerala Blasters in a 7-0 rout in the first leg. Adil P ignited the scoring in the 24th minute, followed quickly by Cyrus Abhilash. Bengaluru FC refused to let up, as Rakshit P Anil, Nee Hang Subba, and Surajkumar Singh added further gloss to a scoreline that highlighted their defensive discipline and offensive depth.

In the second leg, a mere formality turned disastrous for Kerala Blasters, losing 3-0. BFC’s Serto Worneilen Kom netted a brace as Ashik Adhikari added the third for a commanding 10-0 aggregate win.

FC Goa now clash against Bengaluru FC in a highly anticipated final on Saturday, 18th April.
