The Telangana High Court on Monday dismissed an appeal filed by Karimnagar-based Sri Srinivasa Constructions against a single judge order dismissing its writ petition for cancellation of tenders relating to road laying.

A bench of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin upheld the decision of the single judge passed in a writ petition filed by the appellant earlier. The appellant earlier moved the HC to suspend the fresh tenders issued by the government to widen a single lane road to double lane from Arnakonda village of Choppadandi mandal to Malyal crossroads.

Another road was to be widened from Vemulawada to Sirikonda in Rajanna Siricilla district. The single judge dismissed the petition stating that the petitioner failed to explain how enhancement of the value of the contract work and shortening the period of completion of work affected the petitioner and put it in a disadvantage position.

The division bench upheld the single judge order.
