The arrests were made by a specialized team under an ongoing anti-crime campaign targeting active criminal syndicates in the region. The breakthrough came after investigators initially apprehended two suspects and recovered two gold chains, a laptop, three mobile phones, and the keys to a stolen Mahindra Thar SUV. Continued interrogation led officers to arrest Jagrup Singh of Tarn Taran, Kundan Lal of Phagwara, and Jeevandeep Singh of Chandigarh, while seizing an additional two iPhones, another laptop, and a Maruti Swift used in the crimes.During the operation, officers discovered the 50g heroin inside Jagrup Singh’s possession. Following the narcotics recovery, police added stringent drug trafficking charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act to the existing robbery and conspiracy cases registered at the IT City police station.Preliminary inquiries show that both Jagrup Singh and Kundan Lal are habitual offenders with extensive criminal records across multiple districts. Investigators are keeping the suspects in custody to trace their broader fence network and expect to solve more regional thefts as the interrogation continues.
