Yuki Bhambri, India’s top doubles player, along with veteran Rohan Bopanna, will lead the country’s efforts at the US Open, the season’s last Grand Slam.
Bhambri has partnered with New Zealand’s Michael Venus, while Bopanna, India’s number two doubles player, has teamed up with Monaco’s Romain Arneodo.
Bhambri and Venus, seeded 14th, will face solid singles players Marcos Giron and Learner Tien, who are competing together.
Bopanna and Arneodo will begin their campaign against the American duo of Robert Cash and JJ Tracy.
Arjun Kadhe has joined forces with Ecuador’s Diego Hidalgo, and they will compete against the second-seeded team of Marcelo Arevalo from El Salvador and Mate Pavic from Croatia.
The Indian team of N Sriram Balaj and Rithvik Bollipalli will face the American-Dutch duo of Vasil Kirkov and Bart Stevens.
Who Are Top Seeds At US Open?
Top seeds and Wimbledon men’s doubles champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool headline the 2025 US Open men’s doubles draw, released Wednesday.
The pair, both from the United Kingdom, have demonstrated their dominance over the summer, winning titles at four of the last six events they’ve entered since the French Open, including the Masters 1000 event in Toronto earlier this month, where they defeated compatriots Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury (a three-time US Open men’s doubles champion) in the final.
Seven all-American teams were also granted wild cards into the tournament, including Tristan Boyer and Emilio Nava; Maxwell Exsted and Cooper Woestendick; George Goldhoff and Reese Stalder; Trey Hilderbrand and Patrik Trhac; Brandon Holt and Colton Smith; Mackenzie McDonald and Ethan Quinn; and Cooper Williams and Theodore Winegar. Williams and Winegar, college players from Duke University, earned their wild card by winning the American Collegiate Player Wild Card Playoffs in June, while juniors Exsted and Woestendick received theirs based on results at the USTA Boys’ 18s National Championship in Kalamazoo, Mich.
