RPCAU gets award for nation-building efforts

Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University in Pusa has been recognized with a distinguished award for its commitment to instilling patriotism and contributing to nation-building through various co-curricular initiatives. The accolade also celebrates Vice-Chancellor P S Pandey for groundbreaking programs like 'Deeksharambh,' aimed at enhancing students' national pride and personal growth.

Patna: Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU), Pusa, has been conferred with the award for “best contribution in nationality, patriotism, and nation-building through co-curricular activities” by Veterans India, in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICET), National Board of Accreditation (NBA), and Association of Indian Universities (AIU).The award was presented to the university’s vice-chancellor P S Pandey at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Tuesday in recognition of the university’s outstanding efforts in promoting national integration and patriotism among its students. The selection committee comprised eminent judges, senior military officers, educationists, and administrative officials.Giving away the ward, Anil Sahasrabudhe, chairman of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA), praised the VC’s initiative of launching the “Deeksharambh” programme, an initiative that instils patriotism and national pride among students and leads to the overall personality development of boys and girls. The university’s Deeksharambh program has shown the way to other universities across the country, he said.Sahasrabudhe also appreciated the university’s success in implementing digital agriculture in Bihar and other states of the country, ensuring enhanced financial benefit to the farmers.
